		<title>Harold Melvin &amp; the Blue Notes Singer Dies</title>

		<content type="html">&lt;FONT style="FONT-SIZE: 16px" face=Georgia&gt;Singer Bernie Wilson of Harold Melvin &amp;amp; the Blue Notes died in New Jersey on Sunday, following a heart attack and&amp;nbsp;stroke, at the age of 64. He provided baritone vocals on classic hits that include &lt;EM&gt;Bad Luck&lt;/EM&gt;, &lt;EM&gt;If You Don't Know Me By Now&lt;/EM&gt; and &lt;EM&gt;The Love I Lost&lt;/EM&gt;.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Mr. Wilson performed up until the last few years of his life according to his cousin. His death leaves Lloyd Parks as the sole founding member in the current group. The duo recorded &lt;EM&gt;Fire and Desire&lt;/EM&gt; which&amp;nbsp;ultimately became&amp;nbsp;a classic among love songs. During her&amp;nbsp;music career Teena Marie released thirteen albums and six went platinum. Her hit singles include&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;Need Your Lovin'&lt;/EM&gt;, &lt;EM&gt;Behind the Groove&lt;/EM&gt;, &lt;EM&gt;Casanova Brown&lt;/EM&gt;, and &lt;EM&gt;Ooo La La La&lt;/EM&gt;.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Born&amp;nbsp;Mary Christine Brockert, Teena Marie was nicknamed "Lady Tee." The self-proclaimed "Ivory Queen of Soul" said she developed a love for soul music at a very young age. Her white skin was of no significance to black audiences who loved&amp;nbsp;her for her music.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The R&amp;amp;B diva has one teenage daughter, an aspiring singer who sometimes joined her mother onstage.
